Into Thin Air

I’ve always been fascinated about Everest and the people who are adventurous enough to go and stand on the highest point in the planet. Why the fascination? Are you kidding me? It’s the top of the world!

Back in 1997 I found a book about an expedition to Mount Everest written by a journalist in which he tells the story of his ascent to the mountain and how a late afternoon storm took the lives of his fellow climbers. Last month, I bought the book again and read it (don’t know where I left the old one). It is a great read, I highly recomend it. It’s called Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. There’s a movie you can also check out, but it doesn’t do the book justice.
